E-ACT Bourne End Academy is seeking a Curriculum Lead/Head of English to lead a thriving English department and raise student outcomes. You will drive outstanding teaching, curriculum delivery, and use data to close attainment gaps.

As a middle leader, you will coach colleagues, uphold high expectations, and contribute to school improvement within a supportive, values‑driven Trust. The role offers a generous pay range (£35,602–£54,328) plus TLR 1B (£12,960) and full professional development.

Qualificações

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) required.
• Degree or equivalent qualification in English or related subject.
• Proven experience teaching English at secondary level.
• Experience of leading a department, key stage or whole-school initiative (desirable).
• Evidence of continued professional development and a commitment to ongoing learning.
