Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking an experienced Regional Engineering Manager to lead multi-skilled engineering teams across the region. You will drive operational performance, technical standards, compliance and customer relationships, ensuring services are delivered safely and in line with SLAs and KPIs.

You will bring a strong background in hard services facilities management and building services engineering, with 5+ years in management and a relevant electrical or mechanical qualification.

Qualifications

  • Requires 5+ years in Technical Services management or supervision.
  • HNC/HND or Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical building systems.
  • Experience with LV/HV distribution systems, UPS and generators.
  • Authorized Person experience or willingness to undertake training.
  • Proven leadership and subcontractor management experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead regional engineering teams and coordinate resources.
  • Monitor maintenance against SLAs and KPIs.
  • Act as escalation point for complex faults and incidents.
  • Coach and develop teams to improve performance and retention.
  • Manage rotas, on-call coverage and subcontractor performance.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety and quality standards.
  • Produce performance and compliance reports for senior management.

We are looking for an experienced

We are looking for an experienced Regional Engineering Manager to lead and support multi-skilled engineering teams across the region. You will be responsible for operational performance, technical standards, compliance, team development and customer relationships, ensuring services are delivered safely and in line with contractual SLAs and KPIs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, supervise and coordinate regional engineering teams.
  • Ensure resources and skill sets are effectively deployed across sites.
  • Build strong working relationships with customers and key stakeholders.
  • Monitor planned and reactive maintenance performance against SLAs and KPIs.
  • Act as a technical escalation point for complex faults and critical incidents.
  • Coach, mentor and develop engineering teams to improve performance and retention.
  • Manage engineering rotas and on-call coverage.
  • Audit workmanship, housekeeping and service quality.
  • Manage and monitor subcontractor performance and safe systems of work.
  • Ensure all PPM activities are completed within agreed timescales.
  • Take ownership of statutory compliance, inspections, testing and certification.
  • Undertake HV/LV Authorised Person responsibilities where appointed.
  • Promote a strong health, safety and compliance culture through audits and toolbox talks.
  • Review operational data, identify trends and implement corrective action plans.
  • Support continuous improvement across maintenance, scheduling and asset management.
  • Identify opportunities to improve energy efficiency and operational resilience.
  • Produce performance and compliance reports for senior management.
  • Ensure teams have the tools, training and support required to deliver a safe and effective service.
About You

You will be an experienced technical services professional with a strong background in hard services Facilities Management and building services engineering.

You will ideally have:

  • At least 5 years' experience in Technical Services management or supervision.
  • An HNC, HND or Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or a relevant vocational qualification with equivalent experience.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical building systems.
  • Experience working with LV/HV distribution systems, UPS and generators.
  • Previous Authorised Person experience, or the ability to undertake the required training.
  • Proven leadership and team management experience.
  • Experience managing hard services operations and subcontractors.
  • Good knowledge of asset lifecycle management.
  • Strong understanding of statutory compliance, health & safety and quality standards.
  • Experience using CAFM, scheduling and auditing systems.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent customer service, communication and report-writing skills.
