Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is hiring a Contract Supervisor to lead first line supervision across a regional engineering area. You will oversee engineering teams, liaise with clients, attend meetings, and provide technical support to the helpdesk. The role requires hands-on oversight of PPM, reactive works, and safety compliance.

You will deputize for the Regional Manager when needed and drive quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction across M&E and Fabric services.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years post-apprenticeship experience in mechanical, electrical or building fabric trades.
  • Possession of CSCS Skills card and ability to obtain PASMA/IPAF.
  • Valid UK driving licence is essential.
  • Security clearance to NPPV Level 2 or ability to obtain it.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee weekly timesheet reviews and validate technical paperwork and statutory documentation.
  • Act as super user for handheld devices and train engineers in FSI Go.
  • Review engineer and sub-contractor paperwork; identify additional work opportunities and reactive repairs.
  • Audit site logbooks and inspections of tools, equipment, and vehicles.
  • Support helpdesk with technical queries on reactive jobs and assist in monthly maintenance planning of core PPM work.
  • Attend site FM meetings and provide updates on M&E and Fabric services.
  • Survey and provide accurate estimates; deputize for Regional Manager as required.
  • Undertake PPM, proactive and reactive works within set timeframes to meet customer expectations.
  • Provide emergency callout response and participate in on-call rota.
  • Contractor control duties, monitor workmanship and ensure standards.
  • Ensure equipment and surroundings meet company standards and provide a professional service.

About The Role

The role of Contract Supervisor will have responsibility for the provision of first line supervision within a regional engineering area, this includes but not limited to engineering team supervision, client liaison and meeting attendance, and technical support to the helpdesk

Main Duties & Responsibilities
  • To complete weekly timesheet reviews and validate technical paperwork and statutory documentation.
  • Be the appointed super user of handhelds, providing training and development to engineers in the proper use of FSI Go.
  • Complete regular review of engineer and sub-contractor paperwork, identifying additional work opportunities and reactive repairs required from maintenance inspections.
  • To complete audits of site logbooks, engineers and sub-contractor activities and ensure all tools, equipment and vehicle inspections are undertaken.
  • To support the helpdesk with technical queries on reactive jobs, and support in monthly maintenance planning of core engineering PPM work.
  • To attend where required regular site FM Meetings and provide quality updates on ongoing issues or challenges involving any aspect of M&E and Fabric services.
  • Surveying, measuring and providing estimates accurately
  • To deputize for the Regional Manager for any specific duties requested.
  • To undertake PPM, proactive and reactive works issued through the helpdesk within set time frames so that the customer expectations are met.
  • To provide emergency callout response for the client as required and work as part of a call out Rota.
  • To undertake contractor control duties on behalf of the client, including monitoring of contractors and their workmanship, so that relevant standards are met.
  • To ensure equipment and surrounding area conform to agreed company standards.
  • To provide a professional service and represent the company in a way which ensures customer satisfaction.
  • To take a pro-active approach to client liaison and ensure that concerns are dealt with or relayed to management as necessary.
  • To be fully aware of contractual requirements and customer needs at all times.
  • Working in a safe manner at all times, complying with current Health & Safety legislation and Company H&S policy
Qualifications
  • Has/or can obtain security clearance to NPPV Level 2 level.
  • CSCS Skills card.
  • PASMA/IPAF qualification
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Time Served Engineer in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Fabric type trade with at least 2 years full post apprenticeship experience.
