Job summary

National Energy System Operator (NESO) is seeking a South East RESP Analyst to help develop the region’s Regional Energy Strategic Plan (RESP). You will perform quantitative and qualitative analyses, support the central RESP hub, and collaborate with Local Authorities and networks to incorporate bottom-up input.

You will interact with a broad range of stakeholders, design workshops, and produce clear reports and slide packs to communicate insights to internal teams and external audiences.

Qualifications

• Ability to undertake quantitative and qualitative data analysis, and synthesise and communicate insights to a wide range of audiences.
• Excellent interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience of tracking and reporting on project implementation.
• A proactive approach to raising issues early and managing own work.
• Technical understanding or ability to learn energy industry standard methods.
• Interest in planning for a ‘whole energy’ system and willingness to learn.
• Ability to translate complex information into succinct reports and presentations.
• Curiosity and ability to join the dots across areas.

Responsibilities

• Lead on individual pieces of analysis, structuring and managing their own work with timely progress updates.
• Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis of key aspects of the regional energy system.
• Collaborate with RESP regional and central teams and other NESO teams.
• Interact with external stakeholders and maintain CRM records.
• Design, support and facilitate workshops to progress RESP delivery.
• Produce clear reports and slide packs to present results to stakeholders.
