Job summary

Irwin and Colton have been engaged by a leading UK veterinary group to recruit a Regional Environment, Health and Safety Advisor to oversee audits, support compliance and lead safety projects across the Southeast, including Guildford.

The role requires NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent, strong communication skills and a willingness to travel. You will drive safety culture, analyse trends and mentor teams in EH&S policy and risk assessments.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent, with knowledge of UK health, safety and environmental legislation.
• Proven experience in health and safety advisory roles.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with ability to influence at all levels.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct internal EHS audits across sites, prioritising by risk history.
• Partner with practices to promote a positive safety culture and build stakeholder relationships.
• Analyse data to identify trends and support continuous improvement.
• Lead projects to develop, review and update EH&S policies, risk assessments, and safe procedures.
• Deliver health and safety coaching, training and mentoring.

Irwin and Colton have been engaged by one of the UK's leading veterinary groups to recruit a new Regional Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Advisor to join the team in the Southeast. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a growing organisation committed to delivering exceptional care to animals. You'll be the trusted Regional EHS advisor overseeing audits, supporting compliance and leading projects to enhance safety policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities of the Successful Regional Environment, Health and Safety Advisor include:

• Planning and executing comprehensive internal EHS audits across sites, prioritising based on risk and incident history.
• Partnering with practices to promote a positive safety culture and build trusted relationships with key stakeholders.
• Analysing data to identify trends and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Leading project work to develop, review, and update EH&S policies, risk assessments, and safe working procedures.
• Deliver health and safety coaching, training and mentoring.

The successful Regional Environment, Health and Safety Advisor will have:

• NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent, with a good knowledge of UK health, safety, and environmental legislation.
• Proven experience working within health and safety advisory roles.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required.
