Job summary

Irwin & Colton has been engaged by one of the UK's leading veterinary groups to recruit a Regional Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Advisor to join the team in Scotland. The role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee audits, support compliance, and lead projects to enhance safety policies and procedures.

Based in Scotland/Edinburgh with travel to Northern Ireland, you will be the trusted regional EHS advisor responsible for audits, coaching, and delivering health and safety training

Qualifications

• NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent.
• Proven experience in health and safety advisory roles.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute internal EHS audits across sites, prioritising by risk and incident history.
• Partner with practices to promote a positive safety culture and build relationships with stakeholders.
• Analyse data to identify trends and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Lead projects to develop, review and update EH&S policies, risk assessments and safe working procedures.
• Deliver health and safety coaching, training and mentoring.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a growing organisation committed to delivering exceptional care to animals. You'll be the trusted Regional EHS advisor overseeing audits, supporting compliance and leading projects to enhance safety policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Planning and executing comprehensive internal EHS audits across sites, prioritising based on risk and incident history.
• Partnering with practices to promote a positive safety culture and build trusted relationships with key stakeholders.
• Analysing data to identify trends and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Leading project work to develop, review, and update EH&S policies, risk assessments, and safe working procedures.
• Deliver health and safety coaching, training and mentoring.

The successful Regional Environment, Health and Safety Advisor will have:

• NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent, with a good knowledge of UK health, safety, and environmental legislation.
• Proven experience working within health and safety advisory roles.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required.
