Job summary

TeamSport is seeking an experienced Area Alternative Education Manager to oversee our Fast Forward provision across 8 sites in Hampshire, Surrey, Sussex and Dorset. You will lead a team of instructors, assure teaching quality, safeguarding and learner outcomes while building strong partnerships with schools and local authorities.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in alternative provision, SEND or SEMH environments.
• Experience leading teaching teams and improving educational quality.
• Strong safeguarding knowledge and multi-site management experience.
• Ability to analyse learner data and drive improvements.
• Willingness to travel regularly across sites in the region.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of the educational programme across allocated sites.
• Coach, mentor and performance-manage instructors.
• Observe lessons and provide constructive feedback.
• Ensure safeguarding, inclusion and learner welfare standards.
• Develop curriculum, lesson plans and differentiation strategies.
• Review attendance, progress and learner records.
• Build partnerships with schools and local authorities.
• Provide reports to senior leaders and commissioning partners.
• Support recruitment and professional development of staff.
• Cover sessions to maintain continuity of provision.
