Job summary

Bright Horizons Farnham Day Nursery and Preschool is seeking an Early Years Field Chef to travel between nurseries in the Farnham region. You will prepare and present nutritious meals for children, accommodate dietary needs and maintain kitchen records with minimal waste.

Qualifications

• Experience in a commercial catering role.
• Passion for nutrition and healthy eating.
• Knowledge of dietary requirements including allergies.
• Food Safety Level 2 or above required on day 1.
• COSHH knowledge is advantageous.
• Excellent communication with colleagues, children and parents.
• Willingness to travel between nurseries and have own transport.

Responsibilities

• Travel to nurseries within a region where cover is needed.
• Prepare, cook and present age-appropriate meals with minimal wastage.
• Cater for dietary requirements and communicate them to teams.
• Work with nursery teams to support care and education provision.
• Keep kitchen records and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Support management with food ordering.
