Job summary

Howdens Joinery is seeking a commercially driven Regional Contract Manager to win kitchen contracts across new-build and regeneration projects and turn new customers into long-term partners. You’ll have autonomy to develop your region, build your own portfolio of customers, with the backing of a recognised industry leader, reliable supply chain and specialist support teams.

This field-based role requires a full UK driving licence and focuses on winning tenders, building lasting relationships

Qualifications

• Record of winning new business and building a healthy pipeline.
• Consultative selling, presentation and negotiation skills.
• Strong commercial judgement on specification, pricing and margins.
• Previous field-based sales experience.
• Strong communication skills.
• Experience achieving and exceeding sales targets.
• Organisation across customers, tenders and active projects.
• Drive and persistence balanced with patience and integrity.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead opportunities from tender to contract award and retain commercial oversight.
• Grow repeat business and manage pipeline, forecasts and sales targets.
• Win kitchen contracts across new build, regeneration and related opportunities.
• Build relationships with housebuilders, developers, main contractors and housing associations.
• Secure tenders and develop competitive presentation packs for client presentations.
• Review designs, value engineer solutions and negotiate pricing to protect margins.
• Coordinate with Legal to agree contractual terms with clients.
• Submit monthly payment applications.
• Manage leadbank and active sales in our CRM system.
