Job summary

Caddick Construction is seeking an experienced Construction Director to lead strategic and operational delivery of our General Construction portfolio. This senior role drives build strategy, governance, commercial performance and risk management from conception through completion, leading multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.

You will ensure safe, profitable project delivery while fostering growth, excellence, and long-term partnerships across the region.

Qualifications

• Proven senior leadership experience within a main contracting environment.
• Extensive experience delivering large-scale General Construction projects.
• Strong commercial and contractual awareness with profitability management.
• Track record of leading high-performing regional operational teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Strong SHEQ leadership ethos.
• Strategic thinker with strong operational delivery capability.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of the regional construction strategy with safe, profitable project delivery.
• Provide strategic leadership across live and legacy General Construction projects.
• Oversee governance, SHEQ compliance, risk management and commercial performance.
• Collaborate with commercial, planning, design, engineering and aftercare teams for joined-up delivery.
• Build and maintain client, consultant and supply chain relationships.
• Oversee resourcing, talent development, succession planning and team performance.
• Drive continuous improvement, innovation and best practice across operations.
• Lead senior project reviews, CVRs and commercial risk management.
• Provide operational input during pre-construction and tender stages for planning and risk.
• Support business development by strengthening external relationships and generating pipeline.
• Deputise for the Operations Director as required.
