The Vacancy
We are looking for a highly experienced and commercially astute Regional Commercial Director for the London/Southern Region. Reporting directly to the Group Commercial Director, you will shape regional performance and drive commercial excellence across projects.
About the Role
Reporting to the Business Unit Commercial Director, you will support the Regional Business Managing Director/Operations Directors strategically. Lead the commercial teams on subcontract tender procurement, strategy, risk management, contract negotiations, margin improvement, and team development.
Managing a turnover of approximately £80m, your key responsibilities will include:
The ideal candidate will lead the regional commercial function, maintain strong relationships with the Construction Commercial team, and be recognized as a commercial expert. They should possess excellent commercial acumen, strong financial skills, and a logical approach to decision-making and problem-solving. Commitment to accurate financial reporting, team development, respectful colleague interactions, and effective subcontractor management are essential. Promoting H&S standards and utilizing negotiation skills to benefit the supply chain and colleagues are also key.
