Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a Regional Technical Manager to lead its Applications Engineering and Technical Sales teams across Northern England and Scotland. The role is home-based, covering the North West and North East regions, focusing on CNC machining, cutting tools and metalworking solutions for key manufacturers.

The ideal candidate will manage senior engineers and sales specialists, drive cost-saving projects, and deliver turnkey engineering solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience managing Applications Engineers or Technical Sales Engineers.
• Strong CNC machining or metalworking background.
• Knowledge of milling, turning and machining processes.
• Experience delivering technical engineering solutions to manufacturing customers.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to identify growth and cost-saving opportunities.
• Proven leadership and coaching experience.
• Excellent customer management and stakeholder communication skills.
• Experience within industrial supply or manufacturing advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a regional team of Applications Engineers and Technical Sales Engineers.
• Support delivery of turnkey engineering and metalworking solutions.
• Manage cutting tool trials, technical enquiries and cost-saving projects.
• Ensure contractual commitments are delivered across key accounts.
• Support engineers with account management, project pipelines and new business.
• Build relationships with senior customer stakeholders.
• Set objectives and drive a high-performance, accountable culture.
• Recruit, coach and develop engineering and technical sales staff.
• Collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
• Drive growth across CNC machining, cutting tools and metalworking accounts.
