Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is seeking a Regional Bank Chef to support the daily operations of our culinary teams across multiple homes. You will ensure nutritionally balanced, high-quality meals while managing cost and safety.

You will lead, train, and coordinate with Home Managers to develop menus that meet residents' dietary needs and maintain strict hygiene standards. Travel across the region is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a busy kitchen.
• Knowledge of health and safety and current food safety legislation.
• Knowledge of COSHH and managing cleaning to 5-star ratings.
• NVQ 3 in Food Production or City and Guilds 706-1/706-2 catering qualifications.
• Trained in IDDSI / textured modified diets.
• Strong leadership and team collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare nutritionally balanced menu plans for approval by the Home Manager.
• Take account of dietary needs and retain records for inspection purposes.
• Place food orders with approved suppliers, within budget.
• Supervise and direct kitchen staff and the Host team, and train staff.
• Understand Avery Food Safety Management system.
