Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a Regional Bank Chef to support our culinary operations across the Kent region. You will lead a kitchen team, plan nutritionally balanced menus, manage stock, and ensure high standards within budget. Travel between homes is required to deliver quality dining across the region.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a busy kitchen and a minimum of 5 years' culinary experience.
• Knowledge of health and safety and current food safety legislation.
• NVQ 3 in Food Production or City and Guilds catering qualifications.
• Ability to work as part of a team and demonstrate leadership qualities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare nutritionally balanced menu plans for approval by the Home Manager, considering dietary needs and records.
• Place food orders with approved suppliers within budget and maintain stock levels.
• Supervise kitchen staff and demonstrate simple food preparation to unqualified staff.
