Job summary

EMCA seeks a Data and Analytical Lead to spearhead the region's cancer analytics and improve EMCA's analytical capability. You will provide strategic leadership for cancer intelligence, performance reporting and advanced analytics, collaborating with clinical and operational leaders and national partners.

The role requires travelling across the region, building automated pipelines, and developing reproducible analyses within a quantitative data discipline.

Qualifications

  • Ability to conduct deep dives, forecasting and trend analysis, breach/end-reason analysis, and evaluation design for pathway intervention.
  • The successful candidate must be able to travel independently throughout the region.
  • Regular travel across the East Midlands is required, including attendance at provider Trusts, Integrated Care Boards and regional meetings.
  • Have: Degree-level qualification (or equivalent)
  • You’ll need experience leading analytical work programmes and developing analytical capability.
  • D analytical leader who combines technical expertise with the ability to influence senior stakeholders across complex healthcare systems.
  • Building automated pipelines and reproducible analysis
  • in a quantitative discipline such as Data Science, Statistics, Informatics or Analytics
  • From 6 April 2017, skilled worker applicants, applying for entry clearance into the UK, have had to present a criminal record certificate from each country they have resided continuously or cumulatively for 12 months or more in the past 10 years.

As a Data and Analytical Lead, you will lead, you will lead the development of EMCA's analytical capability, ensuring high-quality intelligence underpins every aspect of cancer improvement across the region.

What you'll build and improve

Support and collaborate with analytics and PMO team; contribute to training and development, develop long-term strategic plans for service improvement in cancer analytics and support budgetary management for analytics projects.
