FTH Hire Group is one of the largest and fastest-growing independent plant and tool hire companies in the UK, with nineteen depots across the South of England, Wales, and Scotland. Due to our ambitious growth plans, we are seeking high-caliber individuals to join our expanding business.

The Regional Business Development Manager role offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to our ongoing success as we pursue an exciting growth strategy. This pivotal role within each local market involves account development and identifying new business opportunities to strengthen our market presence.

This position is a mix of field-based work in Southwest England and South Wales, engaging with customers as needed, and weekly time at our Cwmbran Depot to support customer account development within the designated portfolio.

While experience in the hire sector is advantageous, it is not essential. Proven experience in a field sales or account development role is required.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage and develop a defined portfolio of customer accounts
  • Identify and secure new customer accounts to meet sales revenue goals
  • Support the growth of key accounts in line with business objectives
  • Achieve sales targets for all FTH products and services
  • Develop customer proposals and agreements
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to maximize business opportunities
  • Act as a brand ambassador in industry marketing and promotional activities
  • Provide market intelligence and insights to the regional team
  • Enhance customer awareness and trading performance via internal platforms
  • Serve as a point of contact to optimize the customer experience
  • Generate sales performance reports for management
  • Manage hire enquiries and orders as required
