Job summary

SILBO SELECT LIMITED is seeking a Regional Applications Engineer for CNC cutting tools to strengthen our sales team. The role covers DE, NG, LU, MK, SG, LE, CV and NN postcodes, requiring a strong CNC background and the ability to promote high-quality cutting tool solutions to manufacturing, automotive and aerospace customers.

Preferably based in the CV, NN or LE area, you will support three Area Sales Managers and report to the Regional Manager.

Qualifications

• Strong CNC background with machining knowledge.
• Ability to develop and maintain customer relationships within indirect and direct channels.
• Experience or exposure to Cutting Tools sales and distributors is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Promote cutting tool ranges to Manufacturing, Automotive and Aerospace sectors.
• Support three Area Sales Managers to grow regional sales.
• Cover DE, NG, LU, MK, SG, LE, CV, NN postcodes from central locations and travel as needed.

(Ideally based in the centre of the area - preferably CV, NN or LE)

This successful, longstanding and hugely innovative organisation is one of the major players in the production of a superb range of tools for metalwork including turning, grooving, milling and boring. Their products are sold into the Manufacturing, Automotive and Aerospace sectors. To further strengthen their team, they have a current requirement for a talented Regional Applications Engineer.

Utilising both your technical and commercial skills you will be supporting the development of customer relationships within direct and distribution networks. You will be working within the sales team and reporting to the Regional Manager. The role will see you covering the DE NG LU MK SG LE CV and NN postcodes. To be considered you must live in one of those postcodes, ideally in the centre of the area. Supporting three Area Sales Managers, you will be responsible for the promotion of a range of high-quality cutting tools and solutions to a range of sectors including Manufacturing, Automotive and Aerospace.

A strong CNC background is essential and ideally you will have worked previously as a Miller, Turner, Setter, Operator. You could have an ONC/HNC Mechanical Engineering qualification or CNC experience gained within a relevant Technical Apprenticeship. It may be that you already have some experience in Cutting Tools sales with distributors and direct customers though this is not essential. CAD/CAM experience would be highly beneficial.
