Job summary

Biffa Specialist Services Industrial is seeking an experienced Regional Driver Development Coach to support drivers across our UK fleet. You will focus on safe, compliant operations and measurable improvements in performance and customer service.

Lead induction, ongoing training, and records management while driving continuous improvement across regional teams. This hands-on role emphasizes developing people and ensuring high standards of safety and compliance.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of HGV driving experience, including multiple HGV modes.
Valid Class 1 HGV licence, DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
Valid ADR qualification with Waste vacuum tanker experience.

Responsibilities

Recruitment and onboarding: support hiring with assessments and deliver a 3‑day Driver Induction.
Ongoing driver training: provide refresher and mode training to enhance skills and customer experience.
Record management: maintain driver competence and training records using Express Class.
Post-incident support: reassessment and retraining after incidents.
Driving performance reviews: analyze data with management to identify support needs.
Behavioural interventions: provide targeted support for drivers needing improvements.
Continuous improvement and development: enhance training delivery and driver learning.
