Job summary

Kiota Recruitment is representing an established engineering business seeking a Regional Account Manager for the South West region, covering Bristol, Somerset, Dorset and South Wiltshire. The role focuses on building long-term relationships with Water Authority and Tier 1/2 contractors, identifying project opportunities, and delivering commercially sound pumping solutions.

You will manage key accounts, coordinate with internal teams, conduct site surveys, and produce accurate quotations.

Qualifications

• Experience selling to Water Authority, Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractors or similar major project accounts.
• Sales & account management background in hire, rental, construction, utilities, water or related sectors.
• Proven sales or account management track record.
• Experience in field-based sales with customer site visits.

Responsibilities

• Support Water Authority and Tier 1 / Tier 2 contractor customers with project requirements.
• Manage and develop key regional accounts across the South West.
• Build long-term relationships with customers, contractors, and site teams.
• Identify opportunities to grow revenue across existing and new accounts.
• Produce accurate job pricing and quotations through the hire system.
• Own the quotation process with quick and professional follow-up.
• Carry out site surveys and gather information to support solutions.
• Work with internal hire, sales, operations and technical teams.
• Maintain strong product knowledge across pump hire, installations and services.
• Use CRM and Outlook to plan activity, manage accounts and track engagement.

We re working with an established Engineering business that Designs and delivers Pumping solutions across the Water, Environmental and Infrastructure sectors.

They are now seeking a Regional Account Manager to support customers across the South West, covering Bristol, Somerset, Dorset, and South Wiltshire.

This is a field-based account management role focused on building long-term relationships with Water Authority, Tier 1, and Tier 2 contractors, identifying project opportunities, and providing commercially sound pumping solutions.

Responsibilities

• Support Water Authority and Tier 1 / Tier 2 contractor customers with project requirements
• Manage and develop key regional accounts across the South West
• Build strong long-term relationships with customers, contractors, and site teams
• Identify opportunities to grow revenue across existing and new customer accounts
• Produce accurate job pricing and quotations through the hire system
• Own the quotation process, ensuring follow-up is completed quickly and professionally
• Carry out site surveys and gather information to support technical and commercial solutions
• Work closely with internal hire, sales, operations, and technical solutions teams
• Maintain strong product knowledge across pump hire, installations, and related services
• Use CRM and Outlook to plan activity, manage accounts, and track customer engagement

Skills & Experience

• Experience working with Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractors, water frameworks, or similar major project accounts
• Sales & Account Management background in Hire, rental, construction, utilities, water, or related sectors
• Proven sales or account management experience
• Experience in field-based sales with customer site visits
• Experience developing new and growing existing accounts
• Strong relationship-building skills with a long-term account management approach
• Commercially aware with the ability to identify profitable opportunities
• Self-starter who can work autonomously across a regional patch
