Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is seeking an experienced Fitter for a production facility in Kidderminster. The role requires reading drawings, using power tools, hydraulics and electrics, with MIG welding desirable but not essential.

You will support the Production Manager to ensure high standards in Refuse vehicle builds, meet deadlines, and coordinate with subcontractors while maintaining safety and quality. Excellent organisational skills and teamwork are valued.

Qualifications

• Some mechanical knowledge ideally from commercial vehicles, plant hire sectors or the body building industry.
• Willingness to learn and ability to work to time constraints and customers specifications.
• Working knowledge of using power tools, hydraulics, electrics.
• MIG welding experience is not essential but desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist Production Manager in developing high standard of Refuse vehicles.
• Read drawings and carry out works per build packs.
• Use power tools, hydraulics, electrics and MIG welding as required.
• Produce finished products to build process deadlines.
• Raise issues during builds and record changes.
• Capture and record information for future builds.
• Support sub-contractors on site and liaise for appointments.
• Finalise paperwork and prepare for vehicle inspections and testing.
