Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is recruiting an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join a growing engineering and manufacturing business. You will assemble, install and fit components on large industrial machinery from drawings and technical instructions.

The role involves fitting bearings, shafts, motors and gearboxes, using hand and power tools, and installing and aligning components. You will work both independently and as part of a team in a busy workshop, ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

Qualifications

• Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Strong mechanical fitting and assembly skills.
• Experience using a range of hand and power tools.
• Ability to fit components such as bearings, shafts, motors and gearboxes.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical assembly and fitting of large industrial machinery and equipment.
• Work from engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Fit mechanical components including shafts, bearings, motors and gearboxes.
• Use a range of hand tools, power tools and workshop equipment.
• Carry out installation, alignment and adjustment of components.
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical faults where required.
• Ensure all work is completed accurately and to quality standards.
• Work safely and follow health and safety procedures.
