Job summary

RECRUITMENTiQ is working with a local government authority to recruit a Refuse and Recycling Team Leader (HGV Refuse driver) in Malvern. The role focuses on leading a collection team, supervising vehicles and resources to ensure safe, efficient waste collection.

You will oversee staff performance, deliver reliable service, and make practical decisions while maintaining standards and safety policies.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a delivery or collection team and coordinating staff
• Ability to supervise and empower teams to maintain service standards
• Good written and oral communication, with clear record keeping
• Understanding of health and safety policies and safe systems of work
• Experience driving class C vehicles and liaising with the public

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise staff to achieve high performance and productivity
• Make day-to-day operational decisions to meet service delivery requirements
• Safely manage allocated vehicles and resources for refuse/recycling deliveries
• Liaise with team members and the public to ensure customer-focused service
