South Ayrshire Council is seeking a Refuse Collector for Walker Road Operations Depot, Ayr. The role involves collecting refuse from diverse locations as part of a team, and assisting the driver to navigate routes and loading points safely.

You will also engage in recycling, street cleaning and various waste management tasks, contributing to community cleanliness and environmental standards. The post is frontline, with a two-week on/off pattern and shift variations.

Refuse Collector - Walker Road Operations Depot, Ayr - SOA13175 - SOA13175

To undertake duties connected with the removal of domestic, commercial and industrial refuse from all types of locations by working as part of a team to carry out waste collection. Assisting the driver in the safe manoeuvring of the vehicle on collection routes and at disposal points.

To undertake duties involving, recycling, street cleaning and other waste management operations.

The work style for this post is Frontline worker.

The work pattern is:

2 weeks on - 2 weeks off

Dayshift: Monday to Thursday 5.45am - 2.00pm; Friday 5.45am - 1.30pm

Backshift: Monday to Thursday 1.45pm - 10.00pm; Friday 1.15pm - 9.00pm
