Job summary

London Borough of Waltham Forest is seeking an experienced Resettlement Support Officer to manage a caseload of refugee families and individuals, providing tailored, practical support after arrival. Qualifications

• Evidence of Continuous Professional Development (CPD).
• Experience working with refugees and other vulnerable individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Practical experience providing advocacy support.
• Experience helping individuals and families settle into the community and plan for the future.
• Satisfactory DBS check and CIFAS identity checks; commitment to Safer Recruitment practices; fluent English required.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of refugee families and individuals.
• Provide tailored, practical support after arrival (housing, finances, health, life skills, ESOL, employment).
• Use the Integration Journey Tool to gather information and support progression toward independence.
• Deliver structured, home-based and community-based support with regular reviews and continuity.
