Job summary

Staffordshire Women's Aid is seeking a Children and Young Person’s Refuge Support Practitioner for our Safe Accommodation Team at ForWard House and dispersed properties in Stafford.

You will provide child-centred, trauma-informed support, information, advocacy and guidance to women and their children living in or moving on from our refuge. A compassionate, energetic approach is essential to ensure children have a voice and feel safe.

Qualifications

• Child-centred and trauma-informed support approach.
• Ability to advocate for women and children in refuge settings.
• Willingness to work across ForWard House and dispersed properties.

Responsibilities

• Provide child-centred, trauma-informed support to women and children in refuge and moving on from refuge.
• Work as part of the Safe Accommodation Team at ForWard House and dispersed properties.
• Empower children to share experiences and views in a safe environment.
