Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is seeking an experienced Refrigeration Service Engineer to cover Nottingham and surrounding areas. The role involves servicing, maintaining and repairing commercial refrigeration equipment across a regional patch and portfolio of sites.

You'll work on refrigeration pack systems, diagnose faults, replace components and ensure minimal downtime. A current F‑Gas qualification and UK driving licence are required; knowledge of CO2/hydrocarbons is a plus.

Qualifications

• Current F‑Gas qualification.
• Experience servicing and repairing commercial refrigeration equipment.
• Strong diagnostic, fault-finding and breakdown repair skills.
• Experience working on refrigeration pack systems.
• Good electrical and refrigeration troubleshooting skills.
• A full UK driving licence.
• Experience within supermarket refrigeration, food retail or other commercial refrigeration environments would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of CO2 refrigeration, transcritical CO2 systems and hydrocarbon refrigerants would also be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair commercial refrigeration systems.
• Attend refrigeration breakdowns and carry out reactive fault-finding.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical and refrigeration system faults.
• Work on commercial refrigeration plant, pack systems and associated equipment.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and routine inspections.
• Replace faulty components and complete remedial repairs.
• Identify defects and recommend additional work where required.
• Complete service reports and job documentation accurately.
• Liaise with customers and site teams while attending locations.
• Participate in a 1 in 4 standby and call-out rota.
