Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is recruiting an experienced Refrigeration Engineer to support supermarket and retail projects across Yorkshire. You will service, maintain and repair CO2 refrigeration systems, ensuring efficient operation and strong customer service. The role emphasizes fault finding and proactive maintenance.

The position offers a competitive basic salary up to £49,000 with overtime and an on-call 1 in 4 rota. A valid UK driving licence and CO2 qualification are essential to apply.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in commercial refrigeration within supermarket/retail sectors.
• Strong knowledge of CO2 refrigeration systems and controls.
• Ability to fault-find, service and repair independently.
• Valid F-Gas Category 1 qualification (essential).
• CO2 refrigeration training and experience (essential).
• City & Guilds/NVQ Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Level 2/3 or equivalent.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintenance and repair of commercial refrigeration equipment across supermarket sites.
• Work on CO2 packs, remote packs, integral units, cold rooms and associated plant.
• Diagnose and rectify faults to minimise downtime for customers.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown work.
• Participate in a 1 in 4 call-out rota.
• Maintain high levels of customer service and technical standards.
