Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Engineer
North West
£19.00 - £25.00 per hour DOE | 38-Hour Week | Door-to-Door Travel | Overtime | Company Van
An established HVAC and refrigeration contractor is looking for an experienced Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Engineer to join its mobile service team covering the North West.
This is a genuinely mixed AC and refrigeration position, working across a varied commercial portfolio including office blocks, small supermarkets, distribution sites, staff canteens and other commercial premises.
The business is flexible on background. Engineers with stronger air conditioning experience will be considered from around £19.00 per hour, with rates increasing up to £25.00 per hour for engineers with good commercial refrigeration service and fault-finding experience.
With a 38-hour working week, paid door-to-door travel and overtime available, there is good earning potential without relying on excessive contracted hours.
You’ll be carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across both commercial air conditioning and refrigeration equipment throughout the North West. The work is varied. One day could involve servicing VRV/VRF and split systems within an office building, with the next involving a refrigeration breakdown at a small supermarket, cold room or distribution site canteen.
You’ll be responsible for servicing, PPM, fault finding and reactive repairs, managing your workload across your allocated sites. The refrigeration side isn’t focused on large supermarket pack systems. It’s more typical commercial refrigeration including cold rooms, display refrigeration, integral units and refrigeration equipment found within smaller retail and catering environments.
The company provides HVAC, air conditioning and refrigeration maintenance across a long-standing portfolio of commercial sites throughout the UK.
The North West team supports a particularly varied mix of sites, so this isn’t a role where you’ll be carrying out the same PPMs on the same equipment every day.
There’s a good combination of AC and refrigeration work, making it particularly well suited to an engineer who already works across both disciplines or an AC Engineer who has built up commercial refrigeration experience and wants to do more of it.
we welcome applications from all suitably skilled or qualified candidates regardless of their sex, race, disability, religion/beliefs, sexual orientation or age.
