Job summary

Calibre Search is seeking a Commercial Air Conditioning Engineer to cover the North West. The role is mobile, involving service, fault finding and repairs on commercial cooling and air handling equipment across multiple sites.

You will handle PPM tasks, use tablets for service reporting and comply with F-Gas regulations. A full UK driving licence and ongoing training support are required, with door-to-door travel and a company van provided.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience as a Commercial HVAC engineer or similar.
• Valid F-Gas Certification.
• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning or equivalent.
• Full UK driving licence held.
• Experience with VRV/VRF, splits and AHUs.
• Willingness to participate in a 1 in 7 call-out rota.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair commercial air conditioning systems across sites.
• Diagnose faults and carry out reactive breakdown repairs.
• Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
• Work on Split, Multi-Split, VRV/VRF systems and AHUs.
• Submit electronic service reports via tablet/mobile device.
• Ensure work complies with F-Gas regulations and procedures.
• Deliver professional service while maintaining customer relationships.
• Assist with commercial refrigeration maintenance when required.

Job description

The Role

You'll carry out planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs, fault finding and servicing across a range of commercial sites throughout the North West. This is a mobile position working on a variety of air conditioning equipment, with occasional refrigeration work where required.

Key Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair commercial air conditioning systems.
• Diagnose faults and carry out reactive breakdown repairs.
• Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
• Work on equipment including:
• Split Systems
• Multi-Split Systems
• VRV / VRF Systems
• Air Handling Units (AHUs)
• Complete electronic service reports using a tablet or mobile device.
• Ensure all work complies with F-Gas regulations and company procedures.
• Deliver a professional service while maintaining strong customer relationships.
• Assist with commercial refrigeration maintenance where required, including small integral units and cold rooms.

What You'll Need

• At least 3 years' experience as a Commercial Air Conditioning Engineer, HVAC Engineer or Air Conditioning Service Engineer.
• Valid F-Gas Certification.
• NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning or equivalent.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Experience working on VRV, VRF, split systems and AHUs.
• Commercial refrigeration experience would be beneficial but is not essential.
• Willingness to take part in a 1 in 7 call-out rota.
