Job summary

Omega Resource Group are seeking an experienced Refrigeration Engineer to work on a leading supermarket contract across Devon/Cornwall. The role focuses on maintaining, servicing and repairing refrigeration equipment in customer locations, including HVAC systems with refrigeration circuits.

The position is permanent with a basic salary of £46,700 and an OTE of £60,000. A full driving licence and on-call availability are required, along with time-served apprenticeship and formal refrigeration

Qualifications

Time Served Apprenticeship and formal refrigeration qualifications are required.
NVQ/C&G Refrigeration qualifications and an approved training program are expected.
Refrigerant Handling C&G 2079 or equivalent CITB certificate is required.

Responsibilities

Prioritise maintenance and repair work to meet timescales.
Identify non-repairable faults and advise on replacements.
Ensure PPM schedules and paperwork are completed accurately.
Complete technical/compliance documentation and order/fit parts.
Advise GSMs of issues affecting store operations and maintain rapport.
Carry out surveys and prepare reports as required.

Refrigeration Engineer

Devon / Cornwall

£46,700 basic (OTE £60,000)

My client is on the lookout for an experienced Refrigeration Engineer to join the team. You will have the opportunity to work on one of their leading supermarket contracts.

The role will involve maintaining, servicing and repairing Refrigeration Equipment in customer locations and provide assistance to HVAC equipment containing refrigeration circuits.

Key Responsibilities - Refrigeration Engineer

Prioritise maintenance and repair work to achieve agreed timescales and response times.
Identify non-repairable faults promptly advise the Line manager of findings, with recommendations regarding suitable replacements.
To ensure PPM schedules are completed within agreed timescales and that all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and to the laid-down procedures.
Ensure that all technical and compliance paperwork is always completed and up to date.
To order and fit parts or components as prescribed by company procedures.
To advise the GSMs of any repair, maintenance and installation issues that are likely to affect the smooth running of the store and to build rapport and promote the spirit of partnership with all GSM's.
To carry out surveys and complete reports as required by the refrigeration supervisor/ RFM.
