Job summary

COREcruitment is seeking an experienced Refrigeration Engineer for field-based service across a large supermarket portfolio. The role offers permanent and temporary opportunities and a competitive £60K OTE with a 45-hour week.

You will service, maintain and repair commercial refrigeration systems, perform fault finding, and complete PPMeasures in line with F‑Gas and safety standards, while delivering excellent client-facing service on-site.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in servicing commercial refrigeration systems in retail/FM environments.
• Valid F‑Gas (Category 1) qualification or equivalent.
• NVQ / City & Guilds Refrigeration & AC or equivalent.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a busy workload.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintenance and repair of commercial refrigeration systems (packs, integrals, walk-ins).
• Fault finding and reactive breakdown response.
• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) in line with SFG20 standards.
• Ensure work complies with F‑Gas regulations and health & safety standards.
• Accurate completion of job reports via PDA/CAF system.
• Provide excellent client-facing service on-site.

Refrigeration Engineer – Permanent & Temporary Opportunities

Working Hours: 45 hours per week

OTE of £60K

We are currently recruiting experienced Refrigeration Engineers to join a well-established national facilities management provider supporting a major portfolio. Due to seasonal demand and ongoing contract growth, opportunities are available on both a permanent and temporary basis.

This is a field-based role focused on delivering high-quality service, maintenance, and reactive support across a large-scale supermarket estate.

Key Responsibilities

• Service, maintenance, and repair of commercial refrigeration systems (packs, integrals, walk-ins)
• Fault finding and reactive breakdown response
