Job summary

Found Consultancy is seeking a Site Refrigeration Engineer in Sheffield with UK travel to maintain and service large pharmaceutical refrigeration systems. You will manage day-to-day site maintenance, calibration, and urgent repairs to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and health and safety standards.

The role requires a recognised electrical or mechanical apprenticeship, experience in cold storage environments, and F-gas qualifications.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in cold supply chain logistics.
• Experience with low-temperature refrigeration systems.
• Recognised apprenticeship in electrical or mechanical engineering; proven refrigeration/site services experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain refrigeration systems on manufacturing or storage sites in line with SOPs and ISO9001.
• Carry out maintenance, calibration and repair of environmental cold storage systems.
• Respond to emergency repairs and ensure safe operation of equipment.
• Ensure planned maintenance is completed on schedule and that on-call duties are met.
• Adhere to Health and Safety policy and maintain tools/equipment in safe condition.

Location: Sheffield + UK travel to other sites

Sector: Pharmaceuticals / Life science supply chain, NHS warehouse, logistics, cold storage & distribution

This is an excellent opportunity to join a global pharmaceuticals organisation in a Site Refrigeration Engineer appointment. You will have responsible for several large pharmaceutical's site refrigeration systems / contracts ensuring all maintenance / servicing - KPI's are achieved

Key Areas

• Day to day site maintenance / servicing

The key responsibilities

• Maintenance of company refrigeration systems on manufacturing or storage sites in accordance with the procedures / SOP's / IOS 9001
• Day to day site maintenance / servicing, calibration and repair of environmental cold storage systems
• Respond to and complete emergency repairs to the installed equipment.
• Ensure that the 'installed equipment' is operating within the defined limits and that all Planned Maintenance is completed in accordance with the schedules issued.
• Ensure that all Emergency Service work is completed in a timely manner maintaining the safe operation of the installed equipment.
• Complete all works in accordance with the Company Health and Safety Policy ensuring the safety of themselves and others in addition to highlighting any concerns which may not be covered by the documented system.
• Ensure that all appropriate tools and equipment are maintained in a usable and safe condition in accordance with Company policy and statutory legislation.
• Carry out of hours weekend and bank holiday emergency site visits on an on-call rota basis

Person Specification

• Previous experience of working within a Cold supply chain logistics environment
• Experience with low-temperature refrigeration systems
• A recognised apprenticeship in electrical or mechanical engineering is essential, with proven experience in refrigeration and site services
• F-gas qualification is essential
