Job summary

Clear Engineering Recruitment is seeking an experienced Chiller Engineer to join our UK cooling and HVAC operations, covering commercial, industrial, healthcare and data centre environments. The role is field-based with Bristol focus, reporting to the service manager.

You will service, maintain and repair chillers and refrigeration systems, diagnose faults and work on centrifugal, screw or reciprocating chillers.

Qualifications

• 6+ years' refrigeration/chiller experience.
• Level 3 qualification in Refrigeration/Engineering.
• F-Gas certification.
• Comfortable working independently on customer sites.
• Experience with centrifugal, screw or reciprocating chillers is highly desirable.
• Ammonia/CO2/controls experience is advantageous.

Chiller Engineer - Bristol

Location: Reading / Field Based

Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 + Package

We're looking for an experienced Chiller Engineer to join a well-established UK cooling and HVAC business, working across commercial, industrial, healthcare, education and data centre environments.

The Role

• Service, maintenance and breakdowns on chillers and refrigeration systems


• Diagnose faults and provide effective repair solutions


• Work on chilled water systems, splits, VRF/VRV and associated HVAC equipment


• Carry out electrical, controls, refrigerant and mechanical works


• Attend customer sites and manage jobs independently


• Complete clear service reports and documentation


• Provide technical support to other engineers when required

What We're Looking For

• 6+ years' refrigeration/chiller experience


• Level 3 qualification in Refrigeration / Engineering


• Strong chiller and refrigeration fault-finding experience


• F-Gas certified


• Comfortable working independently on customer sites


• Experience with centrifugal, screw or reciprocating chillers is highly desirable


• Additional specialist experience such as Ammonia, CO₂, Turbocor or controls would be advantageous
