Case Management Cymru Ltd. is seeking a compassionate Support Worker to assist a client in Aberdare, focusing on Tuesday day centre support and local community activities.
You will help with day-to-day tasks, shopping planning, appointments, and transporting to sessions, working as part of a small multidisciplinary team. The role requires a driver with access to a car, and an Enhanced DBS check is required.
I am a woman in my mid 20’s, who has some residual cognitive and emotional difficulties following a brain injury some years ago. I am a family orientated person and live in my own home with my partner. I would like support to attend a day centre every Tuesday and support to access facilities in my local area, such as shopping, going out for coffee/lunch, attending local volunteering and exploring other activities in my local community.I need assistance with some home admin, e.g. planning for the week and making shopping lists, making routine appointments, along with support to help me to attend these sessions.You will need to have experience of working with with someone who has sustained a brain injury, be warm, chatty, patient and reliable and enjoy working as part of a small team. You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to maintain a consistent and proactive approach.
This role is subject to an Enhanced level DBS check.
