Job summary

Swift Recycling is seeking a Recycling Advisor in Gloucester to support the safe, efficient operation of a busy household recycling site. You will assist the public and ensure materials are placed into the correct waste streams, providing a helpful, professional service on a busy site.

The role requires basic Health & Safety knowledge, the ability to work outdoors in all weather, and a willingness to work weekends. Training covers PPE, site procedures, and plant operation.

Qualifications

• Basic Health & Safety knowledge.
• Experience with mobile or static plant and equipment.
• Good communication skills.
• Able to work as part of a team and use initiative.
• Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Able to work weekends and Bank Holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist members of the public with sorting and separating waste correctly.
• Provide a helpful and professional service to site users.
• Follow Health & Safety procedures and wear required PPE.
• Keep the site clean, tidy and free from debris.
• Operate fixed and mobile plant and equipment following training and authorisation.
• Support general site operations as required.
• Follow company policies and management instructions.
