Job summary

Kemp Eko Talent Ltd is seeking a Recycling Operative for the Maidstone area. The role covers full site operations of a recycling/energy process plant, with focus on safe, efficient production and adherence to HSE standards.

Responsibilities include starting up and shutting down plant equipment, monitoring systems, and responding to faults to minimise downtime. Overtime and day shift options are available, with on-site training provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in a recycling, waste, renewable energy, or industrial process environment.
• Experience operating plant machinery such as telehandlers, forklifts, or loading shovels.
• Ability to conduct machinery inspections and schedule maintenance.
• Computer literate.

Responsibilities

• Full site operations of a recycling / energy process plant.
• Operating and monitoring plant systems and equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant production process.
• Carrying out routine inspections, start-ups, shutdowns, and plant changeovers in line with operating procedures.
• Ensuring the plant operates within defined parameters while fully complying with HSE legislation, site rules, and company policies.
• Supporting the permit-to-work system, including isolations, lock-off/tag-out, and safe systems of work.
• Responding effectively to plant faults, alarms, and abnormal operating conditions to minimise downtime.
