Kemp Eko Talent Ltd is seeking a Recycling Operative to join a day shift team in Swindon. The role covers full site operations on a recycling/energy plant, with a salary of £32,000 and benefits including overtime and training opportunities.

You will operate and monitor plant systems, perform start-ups and shutdowns, and ensure compliance with HSE, site rules, and company policies. Experience with plant machinery and a proactive maintenance mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in recycling/waste/renewable energy
• Experience operating plant machinery such as telehandlers and forklifts
• Ability to conduct machinery inspections and routine maintenance
• Computer literate and able to use basic systems

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor the recycling/energy process plant to ensure safe, efficient production
• Carry out routine inspections, start-ups, shutdowns and changeovers per procedures
• Keep plant within defined parameters and comply with HSE legislation and site rules
• Support permit-to-work, including isolations and lock-out/tag-out
• Respond to faults, alarms and abnormal conditions to minimise downtime

DAY SHIFT - Monday - Friday

My client, a leading Waste & Recycling company are looking for a Recycling Operative to join the team.

Recycling Operative - Responsibilities:

• Full site operations of a recycling / energy process plant.
• Operating and monitoring plant systems and equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant production process.
• Carrying out routine inspections, start-ups, shutdowns, and plant changeovers in line with operating procedures.
• Ensuring the plant operates within defined parameters while fully complying with HSE legislation, site rules, and company policies.
• Supporting the permit-to-work system, including isolations, lock-off/tag-out, and safe systems of work.
• Responding effectively to plant faults, alarms, and abnormal operating conditions to minimise downtime.

Recycling Operative - Skills and Attributes

• Experience in a recycling, waste, renewable energy, industrial process industry.
• Experience operating plant machinery - telehandlers, forklifts, loading shovels etc .
• Ability to conduct machinery inspections and schedule maintenance
