Job summary

A Mitcham-based facility is seeking a Sort Line Operative to support recycling processes. You will work on a moving conveyor belt, identifying and separating materials to direct them into the correct chutes for processing.

The role covers general site duties, maintaining high housekeeping standards, and helping maximise quality and material recovery rates while strictly following all health and safety procedures. On-site parking is available.

Job description

We are recruiting Sort Line Operatives to join a busy recycling facility in Mitcham.

As a Sort Line Operative, you will play an important role in the recycling process. You will work on a moving conveyor belt, identifying and separating different materials before placing them into the correct chutes for further processing.

Main Duties:

• Picking selected materials from a moving conveyor belt
• Separating recyclable materials into the correct chutes
• Carrying out general duties across the site
• Maintaining high standards of housekeeping throughout the plant
• Helping to maximise quality and material recovery rates
• Following all site health and safety procedures
• Keeping your work area clean and organised
• On-site parking
• Day shifts
• Monday to Friday working
• Full-time hours
