Job summary

Enva in Grantham is seeking a General Operative to support the recycling and processing of Small Domestic Appliances and fridges. You will sort, dismantle and prepare equipment for recycling in a warehouse setting, following safety regulations and quality standards.

The role is full-time based in Grantham, offering shift pay and a 39.5-hour week with occasional Saturday work. Training and PPE will be provided to ensure safe performance of duties.

Qualifications

• Experience in a recycling or waste management environment.
• Knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations related to recycling.
• Mechanical aptitude or experience in dismantling electronic equipment is advantageous.
• Ability to operate machinery or willingness to be trained.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding role, including lifting and moving equipment.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Sort and handle materials to direct to correct recycling streams.
• Dismantle and process electronic waste, including fridges, removing components for recycling.
• Operate shredding, baling and other processing machinery.
• Inspect incoming SDA materials and fridges for quality and compliance.
• Follow health, safety and environmental regulations and report issues.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily targets.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organized workspace.
