Job summary

Enva in Toomebridge is seeking a General Operative to support the recycling and processing of Small Domestic Appliances. You will sort, dismantle and prepare electronic waste, operate processing machinery, and ensure compliance with safety standards.

This permanent, full-time role requires physical work, attention to detail, and collaboration with the SDA team to meet daily targets. The company offers benefits and a commitment to sustainability.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a recycling or waste management environment.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations related to recycling.
• Mechanical aptitude or experience in dismantling electronic equipment is advantageous.
• Ability to operate machinery or willingness to be trained.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to following safety protocols.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding role, including lifting and moving equipment.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Sorting and Handling: Sort materials to direct to correct recycling streams.
• Dismantling and Processing: Safely dismantle electronic equipment for recycling.
• Machine Operation: Operate shredding, baling, and other processing machinery.
• Quality Control: Inspect incoming SDA materials for compliance with standards.
• Safety and Compliance: Adhere to health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Team Collaboration: Work with team and supervisors to meet targets.
• Housekeeping: Keep work areas clean and safe.
