Job summary

TEST VALLEY BOROUGH COUNCIL in Andover is seeking a Recycling Development Team Leader to motivate a small team and improve local recycling performance. You will investigate issues, support collection crews and deliver campaigns to cut contamination and raise participation.

We're looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Recycling Development Team Leader to support our team and to help increase recycling participation, reduce contamination and engage with residents., As Recycling Development Team Leader, you will:

• Investigate and resolve recycling and waste collection issues.
• Work alongside our collection teams to tackle areas with low recycling participation and high contamination.
• Carry out promotional and educational campaigns that encourage waste minimisation and recycling.
• Lead and support a small team of Recycling Development Officers and operational staff.

We're looking for someone who can bring:

You will also have:

• A full driving licence.
• Education to A-Level standard, or equivalent qualification/experience.
• Customer service experience or equivalent experience.
• A good understanding of environmental legislation and recycling-related practices.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
