Job summary

Booker is hiring a Recruitment Team Leader to manage a team of seven Recruitment Coordinators supporting our Cash & Carry business. You will lead delivery of high-quality recruitment services across Branch and Distribution Centre networks and drive hiring manager satisfaction.

This role emphasizes developing your team, improving processes, and delivering an excellent experience for candidates and hiring managers in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operation of the Recruitment Hub, ensuring an efficient and customer-focused service.
• Drive recruitment activity to meet hiring needs across the business.
• Lead daily team meetings to manage priorities, allocate workload and support team performance.
• Coach, mentor and develop team members to achieve their full potential.
• Create an inclusive, engaging and high-performing team culture.
• Provide expert recruitment advice to hiring managers and People teams throughout the lifecycle.
• Plan for peak recruitment periods and ensure readiness to meet demand.
• Produce recruitment reports and analyse data.
• Champion recruitment best practice, policies and procedures.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance the recruitment experience.
• Support volume recruitment activity when required.

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a talented Recruitment Team Leader to manage a team of seven Recruitment Coordinators supporting our Cash & Carry business.

In this role, you'll lead a team responsible for delivering a high-quality recruitment service across our Branch and Distribution Centre network. You'll play a key part in driving recruitment, supporting hiring managers, developing your team, and ensuring an excellent experience for both candidates and hiring managers.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a results-driven team leader who is passionate about recruitment, enjoys leading people, improving processes and working in a fast-paced environment.

Based at our Head Office in Wellingborough (Equity House), this role is working Monday to Friday. You'll be managing a team that operates between 8.00am and 5.30pm therefore a need to be flexible on start and finish times will be necessary. Ideally, we are looking to offer rotational hours of 8.00am-4.30pm/9.00am-5.30pm.

You will be responsible for

• Producing recruitment reports and analysing data.


• Championing recruitment best practice, policies and procedures.


• Identifying opportunities to improve processes and enhance the recruitment experience.


• Supporting volume recruitment activity when required.

You will need

• Previous recruitment experience within an in-house recruitment team or recruitment agency.


• Experience leading, motivating and developing a team.


• Experience managing recruitment performance, reporting and KPIs.


• Knowledge of recruitment processes, compliance and employment legislation.


• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.


• Excellent coaching and mentoring skills.


• Experience using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS), ideally Tribepad.


• Knowledge of the wholesale or retail sector would be advantageous.
