We are now seeking a dynamic and results-driven Recruitment Manager to lead recruitment activities across our Energy & Sustainable Cities and Shared Services business lines, managing a team of recruiters to ensure business needs are met and an exceptional candidate experience is delivered across all hiring activities every time.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the recruitment team within their set BL’s, ensuring that the organisation attracts, selects, and hires top talent across all departments, whilst also managing the full end to end recruitment process’ within their designated area.

This is a leadership position that requires strong organisational and communication skills, as well as a deep understanding of recruitment best practices, and the ability to source and attract candidates.


About the Role

  • Team Management:
    • Lead, manage, and mentor a team of recruiters, ensuring they are well-supported and equipped to meet recruitment goals within their designated hiring areas.
    • Provide coaching to junior members of staff, upskilling and supporting as and when needed.
    • Monitor team performance, set clear goals and KPIs, and conduct regular one-on-one meetings and performance reviews. Highlight any challenges/ support needed to the Head of Recruitment
    • Ensure a consistent and effective recruitment process across the team, with a focus on efficiency and high-quality hiring.
    • Be the first point of contact for Senior Stakeholders within your Business Lines, working with them to understand recruitment challenges, ensuring the needs of the business are met.
  • Recruitment:
    • Manage end-to-end recruitment within your own business area, drawing up engaging recruitment adverts, running targeted recruitment campaigns and initiatives, with a direct hire first mentality.
    • Establish and maintain talent pools and create pipelines of engaged candidates.
    • Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process, promoting the company’s brand and culture.
  • Process Improvement & Reporting:
    • Work with the Head of Recruitment to continuously evaluate and improve recruitment processes and tools ensuring they are efficient, streamlined, and aligned with best practices.
    • Analyse recruitment metrics within your areas to provide data-driven insights and recommendations to leadership for continuous improvement. Provide monthly reports to senior stakeholders and HR for each Business Line, giving insight to recruitment activities, highlighting challenges and areas for improvement.
    • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to recruitment and hiring practices across your areas of responsibility.
    • Work collaboratively with the Head of Recruitment on new acquisitions for the business, understanding the recruitment needs of this organisation, and how best to support them going forward.
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:
    • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across your designated Business Lines, including HR, leadership teams, and hiring managers.
    • Act as the primary point of contact for senior management regarding recruitment strategies, updates, and challenges.
    • Provide regular updates to the Head of Recruitment on team performance, progress against recruitment goals, highlighting any challenges.
  • Employer Branding:
    • Champion employer branding initiatives and promote the company as an employer of choice.
    • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitor recruitment strategies, and market conditions to ensure the company remains competitive in attracting top talent.
    • Working with the Head of Recruitment and other Recruitment Managers, support with the development of recruitment marketing materials, such as job descriptions, advertisements, and social media content, to attract a diverse candidate pool.

What do we need from you

  • Previous experience in recruitment leadership position, successfully managing a team, monitoring performance and providing coaching.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Fantastic at building relationships with stakeholders, challenging as and when needed to ensure best practice is followed and we provide a fantastic candidate experience.
  • Solid understanding of the architecture/ nuclear/ sustainability industries, profiles of the candidates we are looking to recruit and the challenges faced
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of employment law and best practices in recruitment and hiring.
  • High level of organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Committed to representing the Group in a professional way in multiple forums, in person, on the phone or via email
  • Ability to handle confidential information discreetly; ability to tactfully and sensitively deal with different queries and situations
