Job summary

Major Construction Contractor is seeking an experienced Recruitment / Labour Manager to own a major account from the client’s offices in Nottingham. You will oversee the full labour supply—from recruitment and onboarding to daily workforce management—for up to 200 operatives, coordinating with site teams to ensure the right people are in the right place.

This hands-on, high-volume role provides ownership, client visibility and opportunities to influence labour planning and future workforce

Qualifications

• Experience within construction recruitment, labour management or workforce coordination.
• Strong understanding of construction labour and site requirements.
• Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple requirements simultaneously.
• Experience handling high-volume recruitment or workforce requirements.
• Proactive and commercially aware approach.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the full labour supply process for a major construction account.
• Manage a workforce of up to 200 operatives.
• Recruit and coordinate labourers, storemen, fire cladders and other construction personnel.
• Work directly from the client's offices as the onsite recruitment and labour contact.
• Manage right-to-work checks, compliance, onboarding and timesheets.
• Coordinate daily workforce allocations and respond to changing site requirements.
• Anticipate future labour requirements and proactively build a strong candidate pipeline.
• Work closely with site managers, operational teams and project stakeholders.
• Maintain strong relationships with both the client and workforce.
• Resolve day-to-day labour and operational challenges quickly and effectively.

Are you an experienced Construction Recruiter, Labour Manager or Workforce Coordinator looking for your next challenge?

This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of a major construction account, working directly from the client's offices and becoming the key point of contact for all labour supply and workforce management requirements.

You'll be responsible for managing a workforce of up to 200 operatives, working closely with site and operational teams to ensure the right people are in the right place at the right time.

This is a hands-on, high-volume role where you'll have genuine ownership, visibility and influence over one of the largest construction accounts in the region.

About the Role

As the onsite Recruitment / Labour Manager, you will take responsibility for the full labour supply process, from recruitment and onboarding through to daily workforce management and future labour planning.

You'll build strong relationships with the client, site teams and operatives while ensuring all labour requirements are handled efficiently and proactively.
