Fancy running a £200K desk in a specialist recruitment business?

Within one of our niche markets, we have a successful homegrown Business Manager heading off on maternity leave in July and we’re looking to cover their role for a year but recruiting permanently with an outlined plan moving forward for this individual. This market has seen strong performance across UK, Europe and Middle East and we aim to grow this market further. As a result, we are looking for an experienced Recruitment Consultant to join our established team to take on this £200K perm desk.

MRK Associates has adapted to the change in the recruitment market over the last couple of years and now focuses on exclusive partnerships with employers building longer term relationships and working with clients committed to the recruitment process. No longer do we waste time on ‘meat-market’ jobs that have been farmed to multiple agencies. Wouldn’t you rather spend your time (and experience) seeing clients, sourcing and meeting candidates to build effective relationships and working on a heavily retained set of assignments?

We have a different structure to most recruitment businesses and we have a focused and unique approach which allows our consultants to spend more time and excel in key areas that make them more successful.

As an experienced consultant, are you still having to put candidates on your CRM, adding and taking off contacts to keep it up to date, are you still having to do the chore of writing job adverts? At MRK, our consultants don’t do any of this.

Running regular breakfast forums, talent mapping, roundtables, online webinars, producing market-specific salary guides are just some of the ways in which we look to get closer with our clients and candidates on top of the usual recruitment services.

MRK Associates was set up in 2011 and now has three specialist businesses: 1) Accountancy and Finance, 2) Revenue Management and 3) Data Analytics. Each area acts as its own specialist business with consultants focusing solely on their niche market in order to ensure they become knowledgeable in their sector and respected by their clients with the advice and value they are able to add. This has allowed us to maintain a position as a premium brand and we strive to work at this high level of expectation.

This job sits in our revenue management division – a niche market in which we’re market leaders – working with hospitality, travel, holiday and hotel groups. We have a strong reputation and need a talented (senior) consultant with strong ambitions to succeed. The market is extremely social and you will be heavily expected to attend events and meetings regularly so you will need to be naturally sociable and outgoing. This job will only suit an individual with the drive to be part of a growing team, good attention to detail, a commercial mindset and the sincerity to work closely and honestly with clients.

Duties will include:

  • Typical recruitment duties - Interviewing jobseekers, shortlisting for live vacancies, meeting clients

Plus:

  • Building your personal and company profile through online and offline content (supported by our Marketing Manager)
  • Using our unique product portfolio to illustrate our expertise in fulfilling their requirements
  • Targeted business development to employers when there is relevant and interesting information to discuss (not calling for the sake of it!)
  • Assisting in organising events relevant to your market to drive a reputation of adding value to our customers
  • Developing long term relationships with clients with the understanding that a volume of vacancies over time is more beneficial than a quick win
  • Network building through numerous different avenues to raise your own and MRK's profile in the market.
