The Education Network is seeking an experienced Recruitment Consultant to join our Edgbaston office. You will manage and grow your own desk covering primary, secondary or SEND, building strong client and candidate relationships across the West Midlands.

Recruitment Consultant – Education Sector

Edgbaston, Birmingham (B15)

We are looking to add an experienced Recruitment Consultant to our growing, high-performing team based at our Edgbaston office. Who will be responsible for managing and growing their own desk, covering the Primary, Secondary or SEND sector, depending on previous experience. As a Recruitment Consultant you will be joining an established brand that has been supporting schools across the West Midlands for over 30 years.

This opportunity requires previous recruitment or B2B experience, ideally in the education or healthcare sectors, however, experienced consultants form other sectors who are looking for an opportunity to give back or develop in their career are encouraged to apply.

What You'll Be Doing

• Managing and growing a specialist recruitment desk across SEND, Secondary or Primary, depending on your experience.
• Developing strong relationships with new and existing clients and candidates.
• Recruiting and placing high-quality teachers, teaching assistants and support staff into schools across the West Midlands.
• Developing new business through networking, referrals and proactive business development.
• Managing accounts and delivering a high-quality, tailored recruitment service.
• Building a successful desk while representing The Education Network's values of transparency, integrity and community impact.
• Taking part in fundraising activities, giving back to schools, delivering food hampers, and making a positive impact in the local community.

What We're Looking For

• Previous recruitment consultant or B2B sales experience – education recruitment experience is beneficial but not essential if you have worked in a fast‑paced temporary recruitment setting.
• A proven ability to build relationships and develop business.
• A commercially driven, target-focused approach.
• Excellent communication, organisation and time-management skills.
• Someone who enjoys taking ownership and wants the opportunity to grow their own desk.
• A team player who values collaboration but is confident working independently.
• A genuine commitment to delivering an outstanding service to clients and candidates.
