Job summary

Hill Dickinson LLP in Liverpool is seeking an enthusiastic Recruitment Assistant to provide end-to-end recruitment support across the firm’s UK offices. You will own vacancies, work with hiring managers and ensure a positive candidate experience while collaborating with the Early Careers team on trainee and apprenticeship processes.

The role sits in the HR and Development team led by the Chief People Officer.

Qualifications

  • Strong administration and communication skills.
  • Excellent competence in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality within a HR team and handle sensitive issues.
  • Experience in recruitment environment (desirable).
  • Ability to prioritise a busy workload and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Support the full recruitment lifecycle across the firm, including vacancy briefs, sourcing, posting, screening, interviewing coordination and onboarding.
  • Champion direct sourcing through LinkedIn and the careers site.
  • Assist with agency relationships and PSL administration.
  • Produce data and insight reports to aid hiring decisions.
  • Support the Early Careers team with trainee and apprentice applications and interview coordination.

Role overview

Introduction to the role:

Reporting to the Recruitment Manager, you will primarily provide end to end recruitment support to key stakeholders within the firm. You will take ownership of vacancies, work collaboratively with hiring managers, and ensure a positive candidate experience throughout. You will also work closely with our Early Careers team to deliver, when needed, an effective recruitment process for our trainee and apprentice programmes.

Introduction to the team:

You will be part of a wider HR & Development team that services the firm across areas such as HR operations, employee relations, early careers, learning & development, HR systems, diversity & inclusion, talent & development and reward. Led by Chief People Officer, Carolyn Morgan, the team is currently made up of 30 people, who strive to deliver a seamless service to all Partners and employees.

Key responsibilities
  • Support the full recruitment lifecycle across all UK offices for both general and graduate recruitment, including:
    • Collecting vacancy briefs from hiring teams
    • Provide guidance on the recruitment process and sourcing strategies
    • Posting vacancies via our recruitment systems
    • Creating engaging LinkedIn posts
    • Screening and shortlisting candidates
    • Coordinating interviews and assessment days and managing candidate communications
    • Managing the offer process and providing a seamless service for candidates through to onboarding
  • Champion direct sourcing through avenues such as LinkedIn, our careers site, employee referral schemes
  • Dealing with general queries to central recruitment mailboxes
  • Assist with managing agency relationships and administration of our PSL
  • Provide with wider recruitment projects that support inclusive hiring and the firms Responsible Business agenda.
  • Assist with producing data and insight reports
  • Processing recruitment invoices
  • Involvement in Schools Outreach Programme, supporting mock interviews and careers presentations
  • Supporting when required with competency-based interviews
  • Supporting the Early Careers team when needed to review trainee and apprentice applications, coordination of interviews and assessment days and delivery of insight days and open evenings.
  • Supporting the wider HR team general queries and ad-hoc tasks when required
  • Work to best practice at all times
What are we looking for
  • Strong administration and communication skills
  • Excellent competence in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work as part of a wider HR team, maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive issues
