Hill Dickinson LLP in Liverpool is seeking an enthusiastic Early Careers Recruitment Coordinator to manage graduate and apprentice recruitment end to end, support trainees and apprentices, and assist the Recruitment team with shortlisting, advertising and interviews.

Responsibilities

  • Support the full recruitment lifecycle across UK offices for early careers and general recruitment, including screening and shortlisting candidates, coordinating interviews and assessment days, and managing candidate communications.
  • Arrange and co-ordinate candidate interviews and assessment days; coordinate onboarding for early careers recruits including apprentices and trainees.
  • Promote early talent activity via LinkedIn and graduate social channels; assist with writing event descriptions and campus engagement promotion.

Role overview

Introduction to the role:

Reporting to the Early Careers Manager, you will primarily provide end to end graduate and apprentice recruitment for the firm. You will support activity relating to existing trainees and apprentices and play an active part in recruiting the future pipeline of trainee solicitors and apprentices both law and non-law. You will also provide assistance to our Recruitment team when needed, to support tasks such as shortlisting, advertising and arranging interviews.

Introduction to the team:

You will be part of a wider HR & Development team that services the firm across areas such as HR operations, employee relations, early careers, learning & development, HR systems, diversity & inclusion, talent & development and reward. Led by Chief People Officer, Carolyn Morgan, the team is currently made up of 30 people, who strive to deliver a seamless service to all Partners and employees.

Key responsibilities:
  • Support the full recruitment lifecycle across all UK offices for both early careers and general recruitment, including:
    • Screening and shortlisting candidates
    • Coordinating interviews and assessment days and managing candidate communications
    • Collecting vacancy briefs from hiring teams
    • Provide guidance on the recruitment process and sourcing strategies
    • Posting vacancies via our recruitment systems
    • Creating engaging LinkedIn posts
    • Managing the offer process and providing a seamless service for candidates through to onboarding
  • Arrange and co-ordinate candidate interviews and assessment days
  • Co-ordinate on-boarding processes for early careers recruits including apprentices and trainees
  • Play an active role in organising and delivering insight days and open evenings
  • Design and deliver presentations
  • First point of contact for early careers queries
  • Support in promoting early talent activity via LinkedIn and graduate social media channels
  • Support in delivering group exercises and interviews
  • Send out guidelines and packs to stakeholders involved in assessment days and interview processes
  • Contributing innovative ways of assessing candidates
  • Stakeholder engagement and relationship development
  • Introduce innovative ways of engaging with our future talent pipeline
  • Assist with writing descriptions for upcoming events and promoting the firm via campus engagement
  • Involvement in Schools Outreach Programme, supporting mock interviews and careers presentations
  • Involvement in any ad-hoc projects as required
  • Dealing with general queries to early careers mailboxes
  • Supporting the wider HR team general queries and ad-hoc tasks when required
  • Work to best practice at all times
What are we looking for:
  • Strong administration and communication skills
  • Excellent competence in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work as part of a wider HR team, maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive issues

  • Ability to prioritise a busy workload ensuring any deadlines are met

  • Flexibility to work and travel outside of normal working hours when required to support the delivery of training and early careers recruitment activity at different offices.
