Places for People seeks a Recreation Assistant at our Kingston upon Thames centre. You will help maintain health and safety, prepare activity areas for sessions, and ensure equipment is stored securely when not in use. You will work alongside the Duty Manager and report any concerns.

The role focuses on delivering excellent customer service, with some experience in first aid and cleaning duties to support smooth operations and a welcoming environment for customers.

More about your role

As a Recreation Assistant it will be your responsibility to maintain the Health and Safety of the centre at all times including carrying out cleaning duties and preparing activity areas for all planned sessions. You will make sure all of the Centres equipment is stored in a safe and secure way when not being used. You will work alongside the Duty Manager and report any matters of concern and carry out patrols.

More about you

The successful applicant will have a friendly, approachable manner and deliver excellent customer service to our customers. You will assist with first aid when required so ideally have some experience. You will ideally have worked within a similar role. Experience carrying out some cleaning duties and maintaining equipment would set you apart from other candidates.
