Places for People Group is seeking a friendly Recreation Assistant to support safe, welcoming sessions across the centre. You will help maintain Health and Safety, prepare activity areas for planned sessions, and assist with basic first aid when required, drawing on any prior experience in a similar role.

You will work alongside the Duty Manager, carry out light cleaning, ensure equipment is stored securely, and report concerns during patrols.

Qualifications

• Friendly, approachable manner with a customer focus.
• Basic first aid experience or training.
• Experience in a similar role preferred.
• Experience with cleaning duties and equipment maintenance.

More about your role

As a Recreation Assistant it will be your responsibility to maintain the Health and Safety of the centre at all times including carrying out cleaning duties and preparing activity areas for all planned sessions. You will make sure all of the Centres equipment is stored in a safe and secure way when not being used. You will work alongside the Duty Manager and report any matters of concern and carry out patrols.

More about you

The successful applicant will have a friendly, approachable manner and deliver excellent customer service to our customers. You will assist with first aid when required so ideally have some experience. You will ideally have worked within a similar role. Experience carrying out some cleaning duties and maintaining equipment would set you apart from other candidates.
